Melinda Cochrane International Publishing has changed the course of my writing career. The moment I saw my Professionally designed book, I knew I made the correct choice. I have sold my book, They Wouldn’t Let Me Be White to people in four different continents. The cover is designed with such quality it can be sold in any bookstore anywhere. Cochrane puts her very heart into her books and she is just as concerned about quality as her writers could be. She helped me through the Amazon process and allowed me enough room to sell my book on my terms. I have shared my book in Prisons, poetry shows and in High Schools. More recently it turned celebrity heads in a Los Angeles book convention. Publishing with this company is a right turn and is a Superior Career investment. I would recommend this company to any writer of serious intent. Michael Ellis Creative Writing teacher State Prison, California Performance Poet
I was incredibly fortunate that my first book publishing experience was through MCI and Melinda Cochrane. I had never created a manuscript nor submitted one elsewhere and Melinda's enthusiasm, encouragement, and wisdom made this a wonderful experience. I was completely ignorant about publishing steps and procedures. Melinda patiently walked me through each step, answered every question, and made certain I was delighted with the final project. She took each of my desires and suggestions and brought back even more than I had imagined. Her editing finesse, her respectful attention, and her passion for her writers results in a beautiful book and wonderful experience. I highly recommend MCI and Melinda Cochrane to anyone new or experienced in publication, the journey will be exciting, professional, and completely fulfilling! Dr. Heather M. Browne
From Joan Leotta www.joanleotta.wordpress.com Poetry is the most personal of the writing forms I use. When I send my poetry out into the world it's like sending out a piece of my soul. In 2013, I was fortunate enough to have Melinda choose three of my pieces, Curve in the Road, Voices in the Fog and El Dia de los Muertos, into her anthology, The Inspired Heart. The steps after acceptance were as exciting as the acceptance. Bruce Kauffman, the editor was kind and generous with his help in shaping these poems just a bit so that their impact was intensified for the reader. Then, seeing the rest of the International cast—blew my mind away with joy and humility for sharing space in a book with them! Melinda and Bruce kept me informed on the process all the way to publication. Her sensitivity to my work and the high quality of the other included poems led me to trust her brand with another of my works –this time for her internet site. She showcased A Platter of Mezze , giving it a lot of exposure, and in fact, has recently re-publicized the link, giving the work an even greater potential readership. Melinda is all about uplifting and encouraging writers and the potential readers of whatever work her brand puts out. I am proud to know her and to be a part of her efforts. MCI – Melinda Cochrane Sometimes something very special appears in one's life, unexpected yet welcomed. That is how I think of my publisher, Melinda Cochrane and MCI Publications, who published my book “Poemporium, Diversely”. Editor and poet, Bruce Kauffman contacted me wondering if I'd like my next book to be an MCI Publication. As we live in different cities, this was an exciting proposition. I agreed, sent Bruce the manuscript and was left in the deft hands of Melinda. I was impressed with her confidence. She was forthright about the cover, the font, and the layout. My book became a charming addition to people's libraries finding its way to the Archives of Canadian Poetry at the University of Calgary. Some publishers merely support, Melinda Cochrane assures her writers and then goes to bat for them. This is a very special relationship, one cherished and envied by many writers. I was introduced to Melinda through a fellow MCI writer in 2014, and it quite literally changed my life. Before meeting her, I was an online writer struggling to find one publication that would accept one of my works. I now have two published collections to my name and am currently working on a third, and have also had my works appear in several magazines. Through Melinda's support and guidance, I've not only learned a great deal about the inner workings of the publishing industry, but have found my voice through the confidence and creative trust that she instills in her writers. I have amassed a sizable fanbase not only in Canada, but worldwide, and I owe it all to her for giving me the opportunity that no other publisher would. I am perpetually grateful for all that she has done for me, and would not have made it this far without her. Thank you Melinda. Steven Fortune

To my Editor and Publisher, Melinda Cochrane, I thank you. Before, I mention all the other reasons why you are wonderful, let me thank you for your patience. You are like a mother with a newborn: gentle, guiding, supportive, disciplining and encouraging. I thank God for your gift to write and your passion to see others shine. For that is the trait of a successful, writing mentor. You have extended my hands to parts of the world that enabled me to touch the people’s hearts and minds. You have amplified my voice and for this, I am grateful. Alkema T. Jackson
I am truly grateful for the efficient support that Melinda gave me since she published my poetry book, A Woman By A Well. My Writer's page is well-designed and meticulously laid out; my pictures and biography represent me well; and the book review is clearly written and critically valid. The most striking feature of Melinda's support is that she is always available in a most positive and efficient manner without delay which proves that she truly cares about us writers and poets. Keep up the great work to become the independent publishing company of this century. Emily Bilman, poet, Academic writer
Melinda is my publisher and mentor. When I met her, I just had started to write my poetry in English (one year), so did not have enough confidence. I wrote since I was very young, but in Persian and never had published my works. But meeting Melinda through facebook, and participating in the Inspired Heart Anthology, made me to think that, I can write again, with a new language. In fact the way she approached my works was so encouraging, supportive, and reassuring, that made me think about publishing my own poetry book. And when she became my mentor and publisher, I found her, like a friend, leading me to a confident, comfortable, and rosy path. I felt day by day , I was more eager of being a poet and writer. As she by mentioning my abilities and skills and highlighting them, inspired me to be more me and 'I'. She gave me some advice with all her concern, to light-hearted me as a fearless and upbeat writer. I do trust her, with my soul, as I am getting genuinely some tender guidance by her spirit, and essence. Mahasty Eslahy Ireland( Iran)

Coming from a writer, it is important to know where your strengths and ambitions not only lie, but how you can improve yourself to your absolute best ability. My past few weeks of mentoring with Melinda Cochrane have been such an eye opener, for the present day and my future as a writer. She knows the different variations of writers there can ever be, and knows how to guide each and every kind. Her motivation is key to encourage all who love to write, and it truly shows through her kind words and devotedness to her job, that she lives to help writers alike. She has helped me personally grow as a writer and a poet, but more importantly, she believes in the ability of everyone she has taught. And when you’re a writer or an author, sometimes that’s the best gift a mentor can truly give you. - Meghan Fillier, Youth Writer.
"Melinda Cochrane is an amazing coach. With her guidance I have been able to unleash my creative ability and my story which I previously thought impossible. Melinda listens - does not give advice -she encourages. I know she is on my side and she is honest with me. Most important Melinda holds me accountable and motivates me to discover what may be holding me back. With clear goals, objectives and developing and implementing an action plan with Melinda's guidance I have been able to meet my dream of writing my memoir." Wilika Asimont
